The mission of the Gator Club® of Miami is to foster and enhance the relationship between the University of Florida, its alumni, students and friends in the City of Miami, its surrounding areas and to support the University’s mission of teaching, research and service. GCOM is presenting a unique opportunity to a pair of Season Tickets with Parking Pass for the entire upcoming “2008 Football Season”.  Home opponents this season include the Gators versus Miami (Sept 6th), LSU (Oct 11th), South Carolina (Nov 15) and more.

We will be raffling off a pair of the Club’s tickets in Section 30 Row 41.  We limit raffle tickets sales to ONLY 75 to keep your chances of winning very high.  The drawing will be held at our Annual Football Kickoff Party on August 16th, so hurry and buy your raffle now before the slots are all gone. Have you ever wanted to be a TV Reporter? Well now is your chance. GCOM will soon be posting podcasts on our website for this years events. We are looking for Gators who want to be on TV and are willing to do anything for the ORANGE and BLUE.

Come out to the ballpark on Friday, July 18th, to see the Florida Marlins take on the Philadelphia Phillies at Dolphin Stadium. This series is one that you should not miss and the Marlins are only one game back from the Phillies.  Tickets are $21 per person and the seats are in Section 140 (located by the first base line) Rows 4-5. Calling All Gators! Summer is here and it’s the beginning of a new year for the Gator Club® of Miami. What better way to introduce some of the new GCOM members and the new board than a day in the sun on the beach? The Gator Club® of Miami would like to invite all South Florida Gators to Miami Beach for our fun in the sun volleyball event. Students that are home for the summer come on out and enjoy a day on the beach with your fellow Gators and Alumni come out and meet the students and catch up with fellow Alumni. We are in the middle of our capital campaign and are on pace to achieve our goal of $100,000 contribution towards our endowment fund.  We have contributed $80,000 thus far towards the endowment. Currently, we are $20,000 shy of $100,000 in our endowment fund. We must achieve our goal by June 30, 2008 in order to take advantage of these matching funds. Alumni who are 35 and younger are our Gator Young Alumni. GCOM is here to strengthen the Gator Young Alumni connection to the Gator Nation and dedicate programs that would be of interest to young alumni, such as community service projects, career networking, travel opportunities and social activities.
